The purpose of the club is to enrich the community life and increase the awareness of the cultures of Russia and other CIS countries by promoting an active involvement of Caltech community members of Russian cultural heritage in activities, events, and pursuits, social cultural and otherwise, within Caltech and beyond.

(Please let us know if you think that the information in the FAQ is outdated). The club has a moderated mailing list. The subscription to the list is open to everybody. No moderator approval is needed for posts by dues paying members of the club.

The club is governed by the Board of Directors. The board officers for 2004-2005 are:

Membership
The membership in the club is open to all members of the Caltech community.
The annual membership dues for 2005-2006 are $5.
The benefits of being a member are:
1.The ability of posting messages to club maillist
2.Possibility of borrowing club's dvd with russian movie for free
or send a check payable to Caltech Russian Club to the Club Treasurer, Mikhail Kislitsyn, m/c 309-81, 1200 E. California Blvd., Caltech, 91125.
Support for community events
Caltech Russian Club welcomes community events that involve Caltech students, postdocs, staff, alumni or their family members. Please get in touch with us and we'll try to help you with publicizing your events, room reservation. Please remember that our ability to provide financial assistance is limited by the funds that we receive each year from organizations such as GSC, CAA and SIF. We encourage you to get in touch with us early so that we could include your activities in our proposals.
